Flatiron Building - Modern Industrialism

I started designing for a new project today (not one of mine, a friend’s). I am not going to give out too many details just yet. But fear not – I will be telling you a lot more about it and providing links etc as part of the upcoming media blitz for the project.

We sat down this afternoon mostly to catch me up to speed on the status of the project and discuss some directions in which to take the design. I have to say – this is one of the first projects I’ve been legitimately excited to be working on for quite some time now (aside from personal projects, of course). I can’t wait to be able to share more about this project in the next few weeks. Without giving too much away – the mood/feel is what remains after one forces a collision between the lingering culture of Victorian romanticism during America’s industrial revolution and what it means to be a gentleman in the twenty-first century. As far as the visual world is concerned, it’s a juxtaposition made in heaven.

Great things are going to happen.

Stay tuned. You won’t want to miss this one.
