Any respectable subway system uses loads of visual real estate for advertising. I’m not even going to comment on the amount of advertisements I see in a day – it’s expected. But being that a third of what I do for a living is design things, I though it’d be fun to show some of the billboards I saw at a subway station. I’m not sure how I feel about these. I’m beginning to wonder if design and advertising are universal or if these are artifacts of the westernization of the culture. Enjoy.
